HELENA MOON Helena Moon (aka Moon) is a 2006 AQHA Appendix Bay mare. We bought this mare from the famous King Ranch in Kingsville, TX. She is King Ranch branded and wears the running W and the other brands and tatoos that identify her. She has had ground work training and about 30 days riding now. She is a good prospect for any cow horse event and would also make a good barrel prospect. She has mostly cutting and foundation cutting bloodlines, but also has some TB in her. A lot of your famous cutters were bred like this with TB cross...Doc Bar, Miss N Cash, Justa Swining Peppy, Preferred Monkey.... Moon has Peppy San Badger and Dry Doc ON HER PAPERS and goes back to Son O Sugar, Mr San Peppy, Sugar Bars, and Bold Ruler (TB) just one step off of her papers! Pretty cool huh! It is hard to get your hands on the King Ranch horses (especially mares) now days and I have her priced affordably, so if you want her, speak up! She has a small scar on her left hind leg, but it is now healed and not hardly noticeable at all. It is slowly disappearing. I think eventually it will be totally gone. Maybe in a few months or so. You can see it in these pics below. I have had Dr. Imel (my vet) look at it and do a soundness exam on her and she is completely sound on it (she was never lame on it before). Now, if I didn't tell you about it you would probably never know it was there. We took very good care of it so that it didn't leave a bad scar. Being a 3 year old right now, she has her whole life ahead of her and would make someone a nice horse weather it be in the riding pen or as a broodmare. Moon has been exposed to a perlino stallion, Bucksbitaprecrption for a 2010 baby. In case you don't know what a perlino is, it is a bay with a dulited cream gene meaning he can only sire buckskins, palominos, and rarely smokey blacks on non gray mares no matter what color the mare is. That means Moon will most likely have a buckskin. What ever it turns out to be, it will have color, guaranteed either way! SOLD! THANKS CJ IN SAN ANGELO, TX!
