QUICKORY CHAPOLIN Quickory Chapolin (Grasshopper in Spanish) is a 2005 AQHA Bay mare. This mare is a half sister (same momma) to the mare that I show, Bay Bay and Missy Boonsmal (a blue roan filly that we raised). Chapolin is a full sister in blood to That Dang Filly and she is a half sister on the sire side to Quick To Lean. Chapolin is a goosy/catty kind of mare, but is very smart! She has the potential to be as good as her sisters. I wanted to make a cutter out of Chapolin because she is very capable of it, but in her 2 year old year she got sweeny, which is a injury to her shoulder that is not real fixable... so I have decided to just deal with that and make a broodmare out of her. She does not show any signs of lameness what so ever, but it might show up during training. I don't have the money to gamble on it. Chapolin is beautiful. She has Quickory's big eye and has the feel and catty-ness of Miss Olena, her momma. Chapolin has a gorgeous baby doll head, a keen neck that ties in perfect, good withers and short back, clean throat latch.... She has a good hip, nice slope to her shoulder and pasterns and her feet are up under her just as desired for a cutting horse. She also has good hard feet and very rarely needs trimming. And to top it all off, she is extremely willing and smart. I am sure that she will pass on these good traits on to her foals. Chapolin had a dun colt by WR Dual Twist on 2/15/09 and we sadly lost him due to a freak accident when he was only 2 days old. Chapolin was a very good momma, good milker, very easy foaling, and she handled her baby's death well. I need to thin out on my herd, so I am regrettably offering her for sale at this time. SOLD!
