Smokin Goose (aka Jack)

Smokin Goose is a 2003 AQHA #4612720 Gray/Dun stallion by My Hancock and out of Smokey Roan Lady. My Hancock is by Dividend Coup x Plenty Try. Smokey Roan Lady is an own daughter of Smokey Duster Too. This colt is a chameleon. He was born a dun and has been palomino and grulla and now gray (with a dorsal stripe and zebra strip legs). This colt is very heavy muscled, thick colt that has good thick bone and awesome hooves. His hocks and cannon bones are real low to the ground. He is really built to be an athlete and to stop hard. His head is the only trait of a Hancock horse that he has. He is really starting to grow into it though and be proportioned. This colt will probably not be a giant horse. He is the shortest 2 y.o. that we have. We are expecting him to reach some where around 14.2 or 14.3 hands. This colt is sweet and gentle and has lots of personality. He is green broke and already tracking cattle & roping some in the pen. He is a natural on his hind end. We didn't even have to teach it to him, he is automatic! He rolls over his hocks and puts his back feet up under him in his stops. This colt would make a excellent calf horse or heel horse. He IS already cowy!! He stays fat as a tick on just ok pasture, no feed in his diet! We have day worked on him and he can sure pull from the horn. He is STOUT and very smart!
